Oddly enough, when I first started drawing the head, I was referring to a head drawn in a painting in one of my books. It wasn't a head of a woman. The head is basically a ball if you look at the rendering in this picture. I bet I could make it look like a man or a woman without changing much of the face. I think it shows how much our brain infers when it looks at a drawing. It's part of the magic of line.
I remember liking this drawing very much when I first drew it.
